Camilla Peas and Turkey Sausage

If you love good ole Southern comfort food then you'll love this recipe!  All of the flavor without the added fat and calories from oils and butter!

What You'll Need

  • 2 packages Turkey Smoked Sausage
  • 1 bag Peas (2 lbs)
  • 1 tsp Olive Oil
  • 3 Yellow Onions Chopped
  • 1/2 Purple Onion Chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Cumin
  • 1 Tbsp Dried Parsley
  • 2 Tbsp Rosemary Herb Seasoning Mix
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Pepper
  • 2 tsp Garlic Salt

Cook

Cut turkey sausage into small bite sized pieces.  Cook in a non-stick skillet with no oil.  Cook until lightly browned.

Heat Olive Oil iIn a non-stick skillet.  Add onions and cook until soft and slightly browned. 

Cook peas per directions on bag.  

Add cooked sausage, cooked onions, and seasonings to the peas.  Allow to cook for at least an hour so that all flavors will blend.
